The Last Lantern
The Last Lantern is a quiet, moody adventure that leans into atmosphere over challenge. You play a lamplighter wandering a flooding town, lighting the way and slowly uncovering what happened to everyone who left. The hand-drawn art is gorgeous, all soft glows and heavy shadows, and it holds up beautifully on a phone screen.
Puzzles are gentle and logical — the kind that make you feel clever rather than stuck. Progress is mostly about observation: noticing a symbol, remembering a phrase, connecting two small things. There's no timer, no failure state, just you and the story unspooling at its own pace.
If you want fast action, look elsewhere. But as a bedtime game or a slow rainy-afternoon experience, it's one of the most atmospheric things I've played on mobile this year.
